• Gillespie County Commissioners will receive a report from the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office on State 4-H Roundup during a regular meeting this morning at 9 a.m. at the Gillespie County Courthouse. Also, on this morning’s agenda is consider approval of the purchase of computers and advertising for a director of the new consolidated dispatch center operations.
• Fredericksburg Independent School District Board of Trustees will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at the Central Administration Office. The agenda includes a discussion of the Bilingual/English as a Second Language report for 2013-2014 and consideration/approval of the 2014-2015 Professional Development Appraisal System Administrators and PDAS calendar. The board will also receive an update on the FHS Stadium project along with the FHS Ag Building construction and FMS HVAC renovation projects.
• Registration for juniors and seniors at Fredericksburg High School will take place today from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. At registration, students will be able to purchase a parking permit, make a pre-payment to their cafeteria account, pay any outstanding fines from previous school years and receive their class schedule.
• Fredericksburg Independent School Disrict Community Education will host a slideshow presentation tonight on the upcoming trip to Rome and the Amalfi Coast. This Italian trip will be March 19-28, 2015. The presentation will begin at 6 p.m. this evening in the FISD Central Office board room and those wishing to attend are asked to call Carol Reeh at 997-7182. The trip will cost $3,699 per person, double occupancy. Highlights of this trip are Rome, regional wines with dinner, Ravello, Villa Rufolo, Vietri-sul-Mare, Sorrento, Amalfi Coast, Paestum, Pompeii, wine tasting, Naples and an archeological museum.

• Regular season play begins tonight for the Fredericksburg High School volleyball teams with the annual “Battle of Gillespie County” at Harper against Harper High School. The freshmen play at 5 p.m., the junior varsity at 6 p.m. and the varsity at 7 p.m.
