REPRESENTATIVES from non-profit agencies gathered outside the office of the Admiral Nimitz Foundation recently to receive checks from The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country. Officials with the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country have announced the Gillespie County recipients of their second grant cycle for 2013.
Those receiving grants include: Case Fischer, chairman, Admiral Nimitz Foundation; Dr. James Lindley, president, Gillespie County Historical Society; Gen. Mike Hagee (USMC, ret.), president and CEO, Admiral Nimitz Foundation, and Bill Pahl, St. Mary’s School.
“The Community Foundation is proud to continue our tradition of supporting the non-profit organizations with grant awards,” said Paul Urban, executive director of the foundation. “These agencies provide much needed support and services to the citizens of Fredericksburg and Gillespie County and have certainly earned every dollar awarded today.
