Mike Reno
Hill Country Memorial (HCM) has hired Mike Reno as Chief Operating Officer to replace Steve Sosland, according to Jayne Pope, chief executive officer.
Reno joined the hospital executive team on Aug. 26.
Sosland served as COO since 2010, but left recently to take a position with the University of North Texas Health Science Center.
“Mike’s exceptional skills and abilities were recognized by all our key panels, including the Executive Council, Leadership Panel, and representatives from the Medical Executive Council,” Pope said. “We look forward to him being a key part of our team.”
Reno holds a master of science degree in healthcare administration from Houston Baptist University. He most recently served as vice president and senior executive at St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, Idaho, where he oversaw operations for seven non-profit, rural hospitals.
Prior to that, he worked with RWD Technologies, and at St. Luke’s Episcopal Healthcare System in Houston.
