Sunday night’s Blood Moon occurrence hovers over the skies at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area. Close to 100 people gathered at the summit of the granite peak to observe the lunar eclipse, which was actually four eclipses in a row, spaced over a time period of six full moons. The “lunar tetrad,” gets its red color from sunlight shining through the earth’s atmosphere and cast onto the moon. It was the last lunar eclipse/super moon combination until 2033. — Standard-Radio Post/ Scott Allen
