The Fredericksburg skate park at Old Fair Park will hold its official opening ceremony at 5 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, June 17.
Morning Rotary Club President Karen Pooser will start the event by welcoming those in attendance, and introducing special guests and city officials.
Susan Kimbrell, the skate park’s project manager, will introduce special guests and present a short version of the skate park’s journey.
Pooser, Kimbrell, City Manager Kent Myers and Councilman Graham Pearson will perform a ribbon cutting ceremony at 5:45 p.m.
The city and the Rotary Club decided on June 11 to go forward with the official opening of the park, which is yet to be named.
