| News • Fredericksburg Farmer's Market will be open today from 4-7 p.m. at Marktplatz. • South Texas Blood and Tissue Center will hold a blood drive today from 1-7 p.m. in the Walmart parking lot. A typical donation takes about one to two hours, and all donations can be scheduled in advance. Donors must present identification. Anyone who is 16 years old and weighs at least 120 pounds (with parental consent form) or 17 years old and weighs at least 110 pounds and is in good general health may donate blood. • The Low Vision Resource Information Group will meet today from 2-3:30 p.m. at Heritage Assisted Living. Julie Rondan of San Antonio will be sharing her story about living with a congenital eye disease and supporting her daughter who also faces the same challenge. There will also be an invitation and sign-up sheet for the San Antonio Lighthouse to attend their Independent Living experience at the new Sensory Studio in San Antonio. This service is offered to senior individuals from Fredericksburg and the surrounding area with low vision. • Die Künstlers (The Artists) von Fredericksburg will meet at 6:30 p.m. tonight in the fellowship hall of Memorial Presbyterian Church. Visitors are welcome to arrive as early as 6 p.m. Guest artist will be Phil Bob Borman.
