      • The Fredericksburg City Council will meet at 5 p.m. tonight at the Gillespie County Law Enforcement Center to discuss priorities for their 2016 budget. Following that special meeting, the council will hold its regular meeting at 6 p.m., where they will discuss several ordinances — including the sidewalk plan, solicitation ordinance, affordable housing fee waivers and utility fees — and will receive reports on the Fredericksburg Skate Park and the Historic Review Board.

      • Coeds interested in participating in the Stonewall Peach JAMboree queen’s contest are reminded that the deadline for submitting a completed application is today. Applications postmarked after today will not be accepted. Applications are available on the sponsoring Stonewall Chamber of Commerce’s website at www.stonewalltexas.com and clicking on the “Peach JAMboree” tab. The completed applications should be returned to the Stonewall Chamber of Commerce, Attn. Peach JAMboree Queen’s Contest, P.O. Box 1, Stonewall, TX 78671.

      • Hill Country Astronomers will meet at 6:30 p.m. tonight in the HEB meeting room at the Hill Country University Center. Ryan Behrends, club member and president-elect, will present a program entitled “Observing the Moon 101,” related to the Astronomical League’s (AL) lunar observing programs.
