Voters will take to the polls Saturday for both the City of Fredericksburg and Fredericksburg Independent School District general elections as early voting ended Tuesday evening.
Election Day voting for both the city and FISD will be held at Fredericksburg Middle School from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
In the Fredericksburg City Council race, newcomer Thomas Sigg is challenging incumbents Gary Neffendorf and Graham Pearson for two available spots on the council.
In the school board election, C. Brian Lehne is running against incumbents FISD vice president Dale Geistweidt and trustee Dave Campbell in the two seats for three-year terms.
Natalie Smith Bowman was the only candidate to run for the final year of the late Jerry Durst’s term, and she will run unopposed.
Also on the ballot will be the $16.5 million school bond, which would provide new construction at both Fredericksburg High School and Fredericksburg Primary School, as well as upgrades at other campuses and departments.
