• A storm system moved through the Hill Country on Friday and Saturday bringing with it rain and thunderstorms to some areas. The gauge at the Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post measured 96 points.
• Gillespie County Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. this morning at the Gillespie County Courthouse to consider approving procedural changes suggested by the Dawson Forensic Group in the Gillespie County Tax-Assessor Collector’s Office. Also on this morning’s agenda, public officials will host two public hearings. The first will focus on a possible revision oftwo plats in Boot Ranch Subdivision Phase One, and the second will center on the revision of two plats in the Overlook at Bear Creek Subdivision.
• Completed applications are due today for the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce and the City of Fredericksburg Christmas Storefront Decorating Contest for businesses located in Gillespie County. Applications to enter are available at the Visitor Information Center or by calling the Chamber office at 997-6523. Completed applications must be returned to the Visitor Information Center by today to be considered. There is no entry fee. Judging will take place in the evening sometime during the week of Dec. 1. Winners will be announced at the Chamber’s “Light the Night Christmas Parade and After Glow” on Friday, Dec. 5.
• Readers of the Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post are reminded that the newspaper is being published one day early this week due to the Thanksgiving holiday. The paper will be out on Tuesday rather than Wednesday.

• Fredericksburg High School girls' basketball teams will be on the road to New Braunfels Canyon tonight where the freshmen and JV play at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity at 7 p.m. On Friday night, the varsity girls fell in overtime, 44-42, to Dripping Springs.
• The FHS boys' basketball teams will travel to Marble Falls tonight where the freshmen play at 5:15 p.m., the JV at 6:30 p.m. and the varsity at 7:45 p.m. Playing on Saturday in the FHS Gym against Canyon Lake, the varsity won, 81-34; the FHS JV defeated Canyon Lake, 53-40, and the freshmen won, 58-32.
• Harper High School varsity girls' basketball team defeated Knippa, 43-32, on Friday night.
• Heritage School football defeated Seguin Lifegate, 30-22, in the second round of the TAPPS Division III playoffs.
• Harper Junior High Boys will host Mason tonight starting at 5 p.m. with the B team followed by the A team at 6 p.m. The Harper Junior High Girls will be in Mason for games starting at 5 p.m.
• St. Mary's basketball teams will travel to play St. John Bosco tonight starting at 4:30 p.m.
