• The Fredericksburg City Council met in regular session Monday evening and approved an ordinance for emergency services cost recovery and received updates on the Fredericksburg Skate Park as well as water and wastewater bond projects currently in design and development.
• Hill Country CattleWomen will meet this morning at Buzzie’s Barbecue in Kerrville. The social hour will begin at 10 a.m. followed by the meeting at 10:30 a.m. Guest speaker will be a representative from the National Resources Conservation Service office.
• The Fredericksburg FFA will be holding Junior FFA meetings this week. The Fredericksburg Middle School meeting will be held in the Ag Room this evening from 3:45-5 p.m. The Fredericksburg Elementary School meeting will be held in the cafeteria on Wednesday from 3:45-5 p.m. and the Stonewall Elementary School meeting will be held in the cafeteria Thursday from 3:30-5 p.m.
• Fredericksburg Nimitz Rotary Club will host the Paul Oestreich Memorial Dinner tonight at Pioneer Pavilion in Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park. The county’s first responders will be honored for their long-standing dedication and service to the community. Each department will nominate a standout member, and after review, one first responder will be named the “Paul Oestreich First Responder of the Year.” Serving begins at 6:30 p.m.
• Cave Creek School Community Center will meet at 7 p.m. tonight at the school. Officials will discuss and plan upcoming events.
• The Gillespie County A&M Club will host a “Domino Night” at 6 p.m. tonight at West End Pizza Company. The club invites all Aggies and friends of Aggies. The “buy in” cost is $5 per person or $10 per team.
• Fredericksburg Independent School District Community Education will offer a "Quickbooks for Beginners" class starting tonight and continuing on Wednesday and Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Fredericksburg Middle School Portable.
• "Halloween Haunts" is the theme for Ms. Diane's Baking and Craft Session today for students in grades one to five. Sponsored by FISD Community Education, the session will take place from 4-6 p.m. at the Fredericksburg Elementary School.
Sports
• Fredericksburg High School volleyball will be on the road to play Boerne tonight. The freshmen play at 5 p.m., the JV at 6 p.m. and the varsity at 7 p.m.
• Harper High School volleyball is hosting Johnson City tonight. The JV will play at 5 p.m. followed by the varsity at 6 p.m.
• Heritage School varsity volleyball will play Lifegate on the road tonight at 6 p.m.
