• Reuben Byon, 17, of Fredericksburg, was arrested last night by the Fredericksburg Police Department on two counts of Terroristic Threats, a third degree felony, in relation to the bomb threats made to Fredericksburg High School on Tuesday. Local law enforcement detained Byon on Tuesday night after an arrest warrant for him was issued in Alexandria, Louisiana, for three counts of Communicating False Information of Planned Bombing on School Property. Three schools in Alexandria were threatened on Tuesday as well. More information on this story will be released as it becomes available via social media and the website.
• An AARP Smart Driver Course will be offered this afternoon from 12:30-5 p.m. at the Golden Hub Community Center. The cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members. To register, call the Golden Hub at 830-997-7131.
• A Girl Scout troop formation rally is planned today from 5-7 p.m. in the Fredericksburg Scout House at 202 West Austin Street.
• Fredericksburg Volunteers in Police Support will meet tonight at the Gillespie County Law Enforcement Center. A board of directors meeting will be held at 6 p.m. followed by the general membership business meeting at 6:30 p.m.

• Fredericksburg High School junior varsity and freshmen teams will be playing Burnet tonight. The JV will be at home in the FHS Stadium for a 7:30 p.m. game while the freshmen will be playing in Burnet at 7:30 p.m.
• The FHS freshmen and JV volleyball teams are playing in tournaments in Wimberley today and again on Saturday.
• FHS JV tennis will be playing Kerrville Tivy in Fredericksburg today starting at 4:30 p.m.
• Fredericksburg Middle School football teams open their season tonight against Burnet. The seventh graders will be on the road while the eighth graders play in the FHS Stadium. Both here and in Burnet, the White teams play at 4:30 p.m. and the Red teams at 6 p.m.
• Harper High School JV football will host Ingram at 6 p.m. tonight.
• The Harper Junior High teams will be playing in Ingram tonight. The seventh graders play at 5 p.m. and the eighth graders at 6:30 p.m.
• Heritage Junior High football will be on the road to play San Antonio Concordia Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. today.
• St. Mary's volleyball is hosting Blessed Sacrament today beginning at 4:30 p.m.
