News 

      • Fredericksburg Farmer's Market will be open today from 4-7 p.m. at Marktplatz.

     • The Fredericksburg City Council will hold a special budget workshop tonight, beginning at 6 p.m., at City  Hall. Topics on the agenda include the proposed electric, golf, solid waste, EMS, tourism, drainage, Food and Wine Fest, emergency management and other miscellaneous budgets.

      • Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce will hold its bi-monthly Fun After Five mixer from 5-7 p.m. tonight at the Gillespie County Fair Grounds. Chamber members, prospective members, employees, representatives and guests are invited to attend the event, set at the fair grounds’ biergarten. Attendees may enter through the exhibitor gate, located off Fair Drive, and park inside the fence in the parking lot adjacent to the exhibition hall.

      • School photos for the Fredericksburg High School Senior Class of 2015 are being taken today and again on Friday in the Fredericksburg High School Auditorium. Photos will be taken from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Students have been sent information with their appointed times.

     • Hill Country Natural Healthcare will host a free public education “Heart Health” workshop from 7-8 p.m. tonight at 103 Industrial Loop, Suite 800. Seating is limited, and reservations are required by calling 830-992-3068.

Sports

      • Today is the final day for current season ticket holders to renew their seats for the 2014 Fredericksburg High School varsity home football games. The tickets are $30 per seat, and may be purchased through 1 p.m. today and again from 3-6 p.m. this afternoon at the FHS athletic office. Current season ticket holders unable to come by during these times may contact the FHS athletic office. All remaining season ticket seats will be sold to the general public at $30 per seat, starting Tuesday, July 22, and continuing through Friday, July 25, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3-6 p.m. at the field house.
