Night in Old Fredericksburg makes move to fair grounds

An afternoon and evening of German music, a performance by Jake Hooker and the Outlaws, contests, food and more will be featured at the Night In Old Fredericksburg celebration on Saturday, July 19.

This year’s celebration is moving back to the Gillespie County Fair Grounds and is sponsored by the Gillespie County Fair and Festivals Association, Inc.

Saturday’s NIOF is being held in conjunction with the Night In Old Fredericksburg Race Meet on Saturday and Sunday, July 19-20.

(More information on the race meet at the fair grounds can be found in a separate article.)

Gates open at 11 a.m. and the horse racing and NIOF activities get underway around 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Advance tickets for the races and Night In Old Fredericksburg are now available online at www.gillespiefair.com.

For the weekend, adult general admission for the races and daytime activities is $7, reserved seats are $10 per seat and box seats are $15.

Adult general admission after 6 p.m. on Saturday is $10.

Admission is $3 for children six to 15 years and free for children five and under.
