Whether it is setting up or tearing down for the next show, Brian Roeder has been involved with the Gillespie County Youth Livestock Show his entire life.

And this year’s 2014 Gillespie County 4-H and FFA Livestock Show and Auction is dedicated to Roeder and Ronnie Ottmers.

Both men were recognized with plaques of appreciation on Sunday night at the annual buyers’ barbecue held at the Gillespie County Fair Grounds.

Roeder exhibited hogs, steers and turkeys during his 12 years as a 4-H member and four years in FFA. He received the 4-H Gold Star Award and was the recipient of a Houston Livestock Show Scholarship.
