First baby of 2014 born in Fredericksburg

GRABBING A NAP after his grand entrance into the world was Carson James Schuessler, who was the first baby born in 2014 in Gillespie County. The baby, who weighed seven pounds, six ounces and measured 20 inches in length, was born at 3:24 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at Hill Country Memorial Hospital’s Women’s Pavilion. Proud parents are Cody Schuessler and Lisa Warden (holding the baby), both of Junction.
