Comfort man shot in Cain City altercation

Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a disturbance on Baethge Boulevard in the Cain City community at 3:01 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23.

Dale Devin (Sting) Dodd, 51, of Comfort, had driven to the residence of Alex Michael Blackmond, 27, of Fredericksburg.

An altercation occurred where Dodd was shot and later succumbed to his injuries.
