      • Gillespie County Commissioners on Monday set a public hearing for Nov. 23 at 9 a.m. to discuss the revision of plats for Boot Ranch, phase 1 subdivision. Commissioners also voted in favor of allowing an early termination of the lease with Fritz Aviation Services and approved a new, 30-year lease for Fredericksburg Aviation, LLC, owned by Stephen and Beverly Allen. Commissioners also approved the donation of three quilts from Verein’s Quilt Guild to the Victims Assistance Department of the County Attorney’s Office, the purchase of a patrol vehicle for Constable, Precinct 2, and the installation of a fence for parking area at the jail. 

      • Stonewall Heritage Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the Hye Market in Hye. Attendees should plan to have dinner with other Stonewall Heritage Society members and guests; everyone is invited to order from the menu (Dutch treat). The program will be presented by Jason Cook and Oliver Deike who will be telling the history and legends of Hye.

      • Fredericksburg’s chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas will present a program on Monarch butterfly waystations tonight in the Memorial Presbyterian Church fellowship hall. Chapter member Cathy Downs will lead the discussion. A 6:30 p.m. social gathering will start the meeting, and a 7 p.m. program will follow.

      • St. Mary’s Men’s Adoration, Community, Theology and Service (ACTS) will have their fall reunion from 6:30-9 p.m. tonight at St. Mary’s Holy Family Center. All those men who have attended an ACTS Retreat are invited. A light meal and refreshments will be served.

            • The Fredericksburg High School girls' cross country team qualified for the University Interscholastic League State 4A Cross Country Meet on Saturday, Nov. 7, after finishing third at the regional meet on Monday in Corpus Christi. The boys' team finished seventh overall.

            • Fredericksburg High School volleyball teams will play their final games of the regular season tonight when they host District 29-4A opponent Devine in the FHS Gym. It is also Senior Night. The JV and freshmen play at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity at 6:30 p.m.

            • Harper High School volleyball will be on the road to Utopia tonight where the JV will play at 5 p.m. and the varsity at 6 p.m.

            • Super Senior Men's Golf Association is meeting today at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park.
