Harper High School Band qualified for a trip to the Area E Class 2A Championship slated for Saturday at East Central High School in San Antonio after earning top marks last Saturday.
The band was in Hondo on Saturday for the University Interscholastic League Region XI Marching Contest where it earned a First Division Superior Rating from all three judges.
Harper's exact performance time on Saturday has not yet been announced.
The area round of the competition is composed of schools from South Texas.
