Live pari-mutuel horse racing returns to the Gillespie County Fair Grounds on Saturday and Sunday, July 18-19, as part of the Night In Old Fredericksburg Race Meet.
Gates open at 11 a.m. and post time is 1 p.m. both days.
Sponsored by the Gillespie County Fair and Festivals Association, the two-day meet will see quarter horses and thoroughbreds back on the track at the Class III facility.
This weekend’s race meet — the second of four scheduled at the fair grounds this summer — is being held in conjunction with the Night In Old Fredericksburg celebration.

Advance tickets for the races and NIOF are available online at www.gillespiefair.com.
For the weekend, adult general admission for the races and daytime activities is $7.
For the races, reserved seats are $10 and box seats are $15.
Adult general admission after 6 p.m. on Saturday is $10.
Admission is $3 for children six to 15 years of age and free for children five and under.
