The sights and sounds of farms will be at the Gillespie County Fair Grounds this weekend as the 30th Annual Hill Country Antique Tractor and Gas Engine Club Show will run Friday and Saturday, June 12-13.
Show times are from 2 p.m. to sunset on Friday and then from 8 a.m. to sunset on Saturday.
The Gillespie County Fair Grounds is on Texas 16 South, two miles south of Main Street.
Specific events those two days will be from 3-6 p.m. on Friday and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Admission is $6 for adults, while children 12 years old and under are free. Two-day passes for $10 will also be available. No pets will be allowed.
Parking is free, and vendors and exhibitors are welcome.
Among the events scheduled will be tractor and engine displays, blacksmithing, tractor pulls, agricultural machinery demonstrations such as threshing wheat and baling straw and several different corn processing demonstrations.
An antique tractor parade featuring the tractors participating in the show begins at 1:30 p.m.
There will also be a sawmill demonstrating old-fashioned sawing and wood planing.
The event will also feature several children’s activities, along with merchandise for sale. Food and drink will also be available.
