Two Fredericksburg residents, Brandon Strackbein and Hayden Pfiester, died in a head-on motor vehicle accident around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, on U.S. 87 South seven miles north of Comfort in Kendall County. More information on this accident will appear in next Wednesday's edition of the Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post.

Kenneth Reissig, 81, of Fredericksburg, is one person who is unaccounted for after last weekend's Blanco River floods devastated Wimberley and surrounding communities. Reissig reportedly had attended a wedding in Blanco on Saturday. Officials continue to search for unaccounted for individuals.
