      • Hill Country Red Hatters will hold their monthly luncheon meeting today at K-Bob’s Restaurant at 11:30 a.m. This month’s theme will honor Mother’s Day by having each lady bring a small, framed photograph of her mother to place at her table setting.

      • Fredericksburg Independent School District will honor its Teacher of the Year nominees at a reception from 4-6 p.m. today at the Central Administration Building. Fredericksburg Middle School's Naomi Pyka was named the district winner. Also honored today will be campus winners Deanne Gonzales, Fredericksburg Primary School; Julie Sifford, Fredericksburg Elementary School, and Beki Treadway, Fredericksburg High School.

      • Dr. John Ramsay ran in the recent Boston Marathon and shares his story in this week's Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post.


      • This week's paper also includes photographs from the events taking place over the past weekend including the Hill Country Film Festival, Hill Country Run Motorcycle Rally, library book sale, Blankets and Blues, Maifest, Willow City VFD fundraiser. Freddyburg Theater, an art auction, dedication of the cornerstone at the Texas Rangers Heritage Center and more.
