UPDATE: The names of the husband and wife involved in a family violence disturbance/death call in Gillespie County have been released. Deceased from probable gunshot wounds to the chest is Michael G. Bowlin, 45, of 460 Kristen Lane near Harper, according to Lt. Jim Judd, chief deputy with the Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office. Bowlin’s wife, Aimee Bowlin, 42, suffered a stab wound to her leg in the same incident and was airlifted to University Hospital in San Antonio, Judd said. She reported the incident with a 911 call at 4:20 p.m. Sunday afternoon, May 26.

Registration for the Pedernales Youth Soccer Association's fall 2013 season will take place today from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Gillespie County Law Enforcement Center. Those unable to register tonight will have a second opportunity on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to noon at the LEC.
