      • The Fredericksburg City Council approved a request from Security State Bank to renovate the former Beckmann Funeral Home building on San Antonio Street into motor banking services. Additionally, the city received reports on giant cane outgrowth from the Hill Country Alliance and the annual report of the Friends of Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Golf Course.

      • Fredericksburg Independent School District Superintendent Dr. Eric Wright cut short his public discussion about the bond last night at the FHS Auditorium, as no parents or local residents showed up. Dr. Wright, FISD trustees and FHS principal Ralf Halderman did, however, share their thoughts of the bond with the Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post, and their comments will be in the Wednesday paper. 


      • Hill Country CattleWomen will meet this morning at the Tatsch House in Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park. The social begins at 10 a.m., with the meeting to start at 10:30 a.m., and lunch to follow. There will be no speaker at the meeting since club members will be making final preparations for the Spring Round-Up on April 25 at Pat’s Hall.

      • A Spanish version of the food handler’s course accredited by the Texas Department of State Health Services is being offered by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service this morning. “Food Safety: It’s In Your Hands” is being brought to the area by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, Gillespie County
.

      • Gillespie County Aggies invite all former and current students and their families, incoming freshmen, and friends of Texas A&M to the annual Muster ceremony tonight in honor of all Aggies who have died within the last year. Muster activities will begin with a social at 5:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall. A potluck barbecue and the Muster memorial program will follow around 6:30 p.m. Those with last names A-I are asked to bring side dishes; J-R, bring salads, and S-Z, bring desserts. Meat, drinks and utensils will be provided. Cost is $10 per person over age 12 to offset the meal and building rental. President of the Texas A&M Foundation and past interim president of Texas A&M University Dr. Eddie Joe Davis will be the featured speaker. 


Sports

      • Fredericksburg High School tennis is competing in the regional tournament today at the HEB Center in Corpus Christi.

      • The FHS baseball teams will be hosting Devine tonight. The JV Red will play at 4:30 p.m. and the varsity at 7 p.m.

      • FHS softball will also host Devine tonight at the FHS Field. The JV will play at 5 p.m. and the varsity at 7 p.m.

      • The Super Senior Men's Golf Association will meet today at Lady Bird Johnson Golf Course.
