• Fredericksburg Convention and Visitor Bureau’s public relations firm, Geiger & Associates, will present a case study on Fredericksburg media tours today for Fredericksburg and Gillespie County hospitality industry partners. Debbie Geiger, president of Geiger & Associates, will discuss the objectives and results of previous Fredericksburg media tours and provide partners with tips on how to get the most out of participating in future press trips with the FCVB. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the program will take place from 10 a.m. until noon in the Nimitz Room at the Inn on Barons Creek Conference Center.
• Tickets are now on sale for the annual Stonewall Chamber of Commerce Banquet and Membership meeting on Monday, Jan. 26, at the Stonewall Chamber Building. The event begins with a social at 6 p.m. with the meal at 7 p.m. and program to follow. Justin Weinheimer, the Sorghum Checkoff’s New Crop Improvement Program Director, will be the guest speaker. Tickets, at $15 each, can be purchased in advance (recommended so organizers and can have a head count) at Weinheimer and Son in Stonewall and Stroeher and Olfers in Fredericksburg.

• Fredericksburg High School varsity and JV boys' soccer teams are playing in the Smithson Valley Tournament today through Saturday.
• FHS varsity girls' soccer team is playing in the Edgewood Tournament today through Saturday.
• Fredericksburg Middle School seventh and eighth grade boys' and girls' basketball teams will play Devine tonight. The girls will be on the road and the boys will play at home. The B games are at 5 p.m. and the A games at 6 p.m.
