
Fourteen galleries will be participating in First Friday Art Walk Fredericksburg on Friday, Oct. 3.
Most galleries will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and will be hosting special events, demonstrations, art talks, meet-and-greets with the artists, opening receptions and more.

Each of the participating galleries will be flying their Art Walk flags on Friday.
This month’s schedule of events:
Agave Gallery, 208 East San Antonio, will host Fredericksburg artist Toni Marshall.
Marshall will be exhibiting her original creations of fiber and textile art to wear and to display.
An artist reception will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday. Wine and refreshments will be served.
Agave Gallery “Fine Art. Texas Style.” is located one block south of Main Street.
Artisans – A Texas Gallery, 234 West Main, will present “Silver, Stone, and Clay: Three Artists and Three Mediums.”
Photographer Michael Kiel reveals the Texas Hill Country through his black and white photography on metallic papers.
Painter Georgiana Chenault brings a variety of animals to life through her oil paintings on textured limestone and peacock slate tiles.
Potter Eric Jackson creates art on his functional pottery.
An artist reception will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday.
Beckendorf Gallery, 105 North Adams, will be celebrating Oktoberfest on Friday from 5-8 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
The gallery is home to water-colored prints (large and small), giclées, limited edition prints, books and sculptures all by the late artist Charles Beckendorf.
On Nov. 1, Beckendorf’s son, Ben Beckendorf, will be water-coloring small prints from his father’s collections from 4-7 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
Cowboy Bronze, 226 West Main, will be serving wine from Water2Wine and light snacks from 5-8 p.m. on Friday.
The gallery is in a new location, and many of the artists have added new works.
The Dan Pfeiffer Gallery, 102 South Lincoln Street, will be participating in First Friday Art Walk Fredericksburg on Friday.
Fredericksburg Art Gallery, 314 East Main, is hosting jewelry designer, Takako.
Takako Designer Jewelry features original handcrafted designs. Each piece is created in wax as a tiny sculpture. The setting is then cast into bronze or pure sterling silver with all natural gemstones of Amethyst, Black Onyx, Carnelian, Lapis, Malachite or Arizona Turquoise.
Once the casting is complete the metal is hand finished, the stones are set and the entire piece is polished. Each piece is signed and monogrammed by Takako with her TK and Heart logo.
Takako will be in the gallery from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
