A historical consultant and former heritage museum director will take the reins at the Gillespie County Historical Society.
The GCHS board of directors named Beverly Hadley as its new executive director. Hadley will lead the organization in its effort to maintain and preserve the history of Fredericksburg and Gillespie County.
Hadley is a seasoned executive with administrative experience in nonprofit, educational and museum settings. She has developed museum programming, education and curatorial programs, as well as worked with and for nonprofit entities.
“We are very excited to have Ms. Hadley coming on board with us,” said Dr. James Lindley, acting executive director and board president. “She has strong leadership skills and has strength in daily operations of a nonprofit such as community relations, special events and activities, facility rentals and implementing strategic goals. She will be an effective leader and a passionate advocate for preserving our past.”
Hadley replaces Lindley, who has filled in as acting executive director for the past two years and who remains board president.
