The sound of engines roaring will be heard miles away when the 29th Annual Antique Machinery Show returns to Fredericksburg, Friday and Saturday, June 13-14.
The Hill Country Antique Tractor and Gas Engine Club is sponsoring the show at the Gillespie County Fair Grounds.
Gates are set to open to the public Friday at 2 p.m. and Saturday at 8 a.m. Both days gates will close at dark.
Cost of admission for adults will be $6, with children under 12 getting in free. There will also be a two-day pass available for $10.
Parking for the event will be free.
This year’s show will feature the Gibson tractor and the Hercules engine. Another feature will be a couple of tractors that were donated to the Hill Country Antique Tractor and Gas Engine Club.
There will be many demonstrations, including wheat threshing, straw baling, log sawing at the saw mill and two blacksmiths.
This year there will also be a fence maker and a rope maker where the public is encouraged to make their own rope.
Also in attendance will be vendors selling merchandise to the public.
