Fredericksburg native Ezra Proch, 17, stars in Echolight’s “The Redemption of Henry Myers,” which premieres at 8 p.m., Sunday, March 23 on the Hallmark Movie Channel.
Set in the 1800s, the film tells the story of Henry Myers (Drew Waters from “Breaking Bad” and “Friday Night Lights”) who lives a hard life on the frontier and resorts to robbing a bank. After his latest heist goes wrong and his outlaw friends betray him and leave him for dead, Henry is surprised to find extraordinary kindness from a widow named Marilyn (Erin Bethea) and her children, Will (Proch) and Laura (Jaden Roberts).
Proch got his start in acting when he played “Young Luke” in “Seven Days in Utopia,” the Fredericksburg-filmed movie starring Robert Duval. Proch then went on to be cast in a small film, “Sons of Georgia”, a Civil War story shot in St. Louis.
