The Fredericksburg City Council will hold a special meeting Monday, Dec. 30, at noon at City Hall to discuss options for future collection of property taxes.
At a Dec. 16 council meeting, City Manager Kent Myers briefed councilmen on ongoing discussions over the past two months with other taxing entities in Gillespie County about the potential for finding a new property tax collection service.
Currently, taxing entities use the Gillespie County Tax Assessor-Collector’s Office to collect property taxes from county residents.
