Deadline for girls interested in participating in the Stonewall Peach JAMboree queen’s contest has been extended to Friday, June 3.
The applications are available on the sponsoring Stonewall Chamber of Commerce website at www.stonewalltexas.com.
The completed applications should be returned to the Stonewall Chamber of Commerce, Attn. Peach JAMboree Queen’s Contest, P.O. Box 1, Stonewall, TX 78671.
A photograph for use in the newspaper should accompany each application.
The new Peach Queen and her court will be chosen during the annual Stonewall Peach JAMboree and Rodeo, June 17-18.
The contest is open to any girl who will be a sophomore, junior or senior in a Gillespie County high school during the 2016-2017 school year and any girl who was enrolled in a Gillespie County high school during the 2015-2016 school year.

It was noted that the queen receives a $1,250 scholarship and the duchesses each receive a $1,000 scholarship.
