The founding of Fredericksburg’s history will be celebrated with a Family Fun Day at Marktplatz and Pioneer Museum on Saturday, May 14.
The celebration will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the laying of a wreath at Marktplatz to commemorate the 170th anniversary of the founding of Fredericksburg by John O. Meusebach and the city’s early settlers. There will be music for this ceremony.
Then, from noon to 3 p.m., activities shift to Pioneer Museum. Families are invited to bring food for a picnic, along with lawn chairs, and join in other activities.
