Gillespie County Ministerial Association will host a gathering on Monday, Jan. 18, to remember the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Set for noon under the small pavilion at Marktplatz, the event will be a time for prayer and reflection as the slain civil rights leader is remembered.
The association will also play portions of some of Dr. King’s speeches, and give time for reflection on the impact of his life and ministry.
This year marks the 52nd anniversary of King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, which he gave in Washington, D.C. in 1963 at the Lincoln Memorial.
