Three galleries will be offering special events on Friday, Jan. 1 as part of the First Friday Art Walk Fredericksburg celebration.
Artisans — A Texas Gallery will serve black-eyed peas for good luck in the new year. They and Cate Zane Gallery will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. River Rustic Gallery will be open from noon to 8 p.m.
The 14 other participating galleries will be closed for the holiday but will participate in the Feb. 5 First Friday Art Walk.

The following galleries have submitted information concerning their First Friday Art Walk events:
Artisans —A Texas Gallery, 234 W. Main St., will be celebrating the new year with local Hill Country artists and their art.
Artisans will be open from 5-8 p.m. for First Friday Art Walk. They will be serving black-eyed peas, cornbread and local wines.
Cate Zane, 107 N. Llano St., will be open on New Year’s Eve from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on New Year’s Day, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for First Friday Art Walk.
