Renovations begin at Pacific Combat Zone

The Pacific Combat Zone, an extension of the National Museum of the Pacific War, will begin renovations by next week.

Gen. Michael Hagee (USMC, ret.), president and CEO of the Admiral Nimitz Foundation, said they plan to have renovations completed by March 2017.

“We plan to have reenactments beginning by Spring Break 2017, at the latest,” Hagee said. “And depending on renovations and construction, that date may be sooner than we expect.”

Phase One began in March and included shutting down the front part of the Combat Zone area and stopping guided tours.
