The public will get a chance to whack a “Beat Burnet” automobile with a sledgehammer at the Fredericksburg Rotary Club High School Homecoming Scholarship Party from 4-7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11 at FHS.
The “Sledge-A-Car” activity where five $1 tickets will buy five whacks on the vehicle donated by Eckert Wrecking, will be one of several activities in the high school courtyard area before the FHS-Burnet homecoming football game.
Booths featuring food trucks, face painting, dunking booths (with surprise guests), a blocking sled push challenge, obstacle course and bounce castle kids’ area, and a first responders 9/11 salute will be set up.
Food trucks and vendors include Gatti’s Pizza, Clear River Pecan sandwiches and the Hill Country Memorial cafeteria.
