A “Family Fun Day and Town Hall Meeting” will be held Saturday, July 25, in the Harper Community Park.
The event is sponsored by the Harper Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Harper Community Park Association for the benefit of the Harper Community Park.
Afternoon activities begin at 4 p.m. and include games, snow cones, popcorn, hot dogs, baseball, a bake sale, car wash, hula hoop contest and more.
Also starting at 4 p.m. is the domino tournament.
A barbecue supper will be served at 6 p.m. before the town hall meeting at 7 p.m.
The Harper Community Park Board will present its proposed plan at the Town Hall meeting, and the public is encouraged to ask any and all questions about the new building and how it will be done.
Nothing about the size and construction of the building has been set yet, according to spokesman Jeanette Bode.
“This is the time for opinions, questions and concerns,” Bode said. “Alternate plans can be discussed.”
Drawings and estimated costs need to be available for consideration, she said.
