
A number of galleries will be offering special events on Friday, July 3, as part of the First Friday Art Walk Fredericksburg celebration.
Participating galleries will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will feature demonstrations, art talks, receptions, visits with the artists and more.

The following galleries have submitted information concerning their First Friday Art Walk events:
Agave Gallery —Fine Art. Texas Style!, 208 East San Antonio, is featuring “Arctic Wild: Images from the Frozen North” by nature photographer Jim Heupel.
Featuring photographs of polar bears, arctic foxes, the northern lights and the polar sun shafts in the snow from a remote area on Hudson Bay, north of Manitoba, Canada.
Heupel has been honored in international competitions by the North American Nature Photography Association and is a member of the Texas Photographic Society.
The public is invited to meet the artist on Friday.
A reception will be held from 5-8 p.m. at Agave Gallery “Fine Art. Texas Style!”
The gallery is located one block south of Main Street at 208 East San Antonio, between Lincoln and Llano streets.
Fredericksburg Art Gallery, 314 West Main, will feature “TEXASCAPES,” an exhibit by local artists Chuck and Barbara Mauldin.
This show will feature oil paintings that capture the “rugged beauty of the Hill Country as well as other regions of the state.”
An artist reception will be held on Friday from 6-8 p.m. Snacks and wines from Grape Creek Vineyards will be served.
The Mauldins will be back in the gallery on Saturday after the parade to demonstrate their oil painting techniques.
